Lisbon, city of colours. I usually don’t prefer green meadows, little flowers and bees, or picturesque things, in this case: yellow trams and the azure sea. All of this is seriously beautiful to look at and experience. However, for my own personal feeling it is simply less interesting to photograph, lacking the darkness (is this a word?) and drama.
But Lisbon is also a city of colourful graffiti. The old town is a feast for the senses with its façades, smells, pleasures, reminders of past power and alleyways sloping down to the sea. What struck me most however on that Sunday morning were the spray-can murals on almost every available wall, some of those structures surely historic. This completely unexpected contrast shaped my images and my view on my only day in the city.
Gear used: Fuji X100, the original, full of signs of use, small, inconspicuous, but still holds up in any weather and situation
And now for a yellow cable car:

Eine sehr schöne Stadt – hatte das Gefühl, dass man schon an einem Tag viel sehen kann, wenn auch nicht genug…
